বিনিয়োগ সম্মেলনের সময় ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠানে লুটপাট উদ্বেগজনক

দেশে চারদিনের বিনিয়োগ সম্মেলন চলছে। দেশের অর্থনীতিতে এই সম্মেলনের ভূমিকা অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও সুদূরপ্রসারী।
এমন একটি স্পর্শকাতর সময়ে গতকাল কয়েকটি ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠানে যে লু$টপাট ও ভাঙচুরের ঘটনা ঘটেছে তা উদ্বেগজনক ও উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদিত।
এর অন্যতম লক্ষ্য, আগ্রহী বিনিয়োগকারীদের বিভ্রান্ত করা। তাদেরকে দেখানো যে, বাংলাদেশে তাদের বিনিয়োগ নিরাপদ নয়। বাংলাদেশে বিনিয়োগের পরিবেশ নষ্ট হলে কারা লাভবান হবে সেটাও স্পষ্ট।
আমরা বিশ্বাস করি, যারা লু$টপাট করেছে তারা আন্দোলনকারী নয়। তারা চক্রান্তকারী এবং অপরাধী। তাদেরকে চিহ্নিত করে আইনের আওতায় আনা হোক।
আমরা এই ধরনের লু$টপাট ও অপরাধকর্ম কোনোভাবেই সমর্থন করি না। আন্দোলন চলাকালে এই ধরনের কাজ কেউ করতে গেলে তাকে থামিয়ে দিন।

At such a critical and sensitive time, the acts of looting and vandalism that took place yesterday at several business establishments are deeply alarming and appear intentional.
It is increasingly clear that one of the key motives behind these actions is to mislead potential investors to create a false impression that Bangladesh is unsafe for investment. And it is equally clear who stands to benefit from sabotaging the country’s investment climate.
We categorically state: those who carried out these attacks are not protesters they are saboteurs and criminals. They must be identified without delay and held accountable under the full force of the law.
We unequivocally condemn such lawlessness. Looting and violence have no place in any movement. If anyone attempts such acts under the shadow of protest, they must be stopped immediately.
